ALL THINGS: MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT
UNIVERSITY PROGRAM BOARD
While at Ball State University, I was the Director of Talent & Events for the University Program Board (UPB). This board was responsible for all the live entertainment which came to campus year over year. In the two years in which I operated in this role, I had full autonomy to make decisions (with some oversight/guidance) as to the University’s large scale events for students during my time there. As a college student, responsible for booking and marketing concerts & events for the University which included working/negotiations with talent agencies, interpreting and marketing up rider requests, marketing & execution plan for all shows - Bob Dylan, George Clinton, Adam Sandler (example shows).
As a TCOM student, I was heavily involved with the campus radio station, WCRD. While I was the events director, I created its first ever, outdoor concert festival in conjunction with the radio station. This all day music festival featured local and upcoming Midwest artists.
MAVERICK RECORDS
When MUSE was first introduced to the United States from the UK, they were in support of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I spent the summer working on behalf of Maverick Records in support of their debut album, Showbiz, on their Midwest tour placing POS at local record stores and working the Chicago, Bloomington, Indiana and Columbus, Ohio dates of the tour.
